1. General
1a. These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving lessons, courses, and services provided by Illawarra Precision Driving School.
1b. By booking and attending lessons, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
2a. Students must be at least 16 years of age.
2b. A valid Australian car drivers licence or equivalent overseas/international licence must be held and produced before the start of any lesson.
2c. Students must be legally fit to drive and free from the influence of drugs and/or alcohol during all sessions.
3. Bookings and Payments
3a. All lessons must be booked in advance, subject to availability.
3b. Payments must be made in full prior to the commencement of lessons unless otherwise agreed. Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
3c. Fees paid to Illawarra Precision Driving School are non-refundable and not transferable. All packages must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase.
3d. Prices are subject to change without notice. Confirmed bookings will not incur price change.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
4a. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations/rescheduling or your fee will be payable.
4b. Failure to give sufficient notice will result in the lesson being charged in full.
4c. Maximum of 1 free reschedule can be made for packages of 5 to 9 lessons. Maximum 2 free reschedules can be made for packages of 10 lessons or more.
4d. Illawarra Precision Driving School reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule lessons due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor illness, vehicle issues, or extreme weather etc.). This will be at no extra charge.
5. Lessons
5a. Students are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly.
5b. Proper footwear must be worn during lessons. Flat enclosed and secure shoes are recommended.
5c. The instructor has the right to terminate a lesson if:
the student is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol
the student is unfit to drive or drives and behaves inappropriately or recklessly.
the student fails to comply with the directions and/or instructions of your instructor before or during a lesson
the student fails to comply with any special conditions on their licence, e.g. wearing of glasses/contacts
5d. Damage to the vehicle caused by negligent or reckless behaviour will be charged to the student.
5e. Lessons commence and end at the pre-determined pick up and drop off point, determined at the time of booking the lesson.
5f. You must be ready to commence the lesson at the start of the lesson time. If you arrive late, the lesson will still end at the intended time.
5g. The duration of the lesson may include briefing and/or debriefing time.
5h. 1.5 and 2 hour lessons cannot be altered or reduced once the booking is confirmed.
6. Instructor Obligations
6a. Instructors will be qualified and licensed in accordance with local laws.
6b. The instructor will ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, registered and insured for instruction purposes.
6c. Lessons will be conducted in a professional and safe manner.
7. Practical Test
7a. Use of Illawarra Precision Driving School’s vehicle(s) for the driving test is subject to instructor approval.
7b. The instructor reserves the right to withhold use of the vehicle if the student is not test-ready.
8. Liability
8a. Illawarra Precision Driving School is not liable for any accidents or incidents that occur outside of lessons.
8b. Illawarra Precision Driving School is not responsible for delays or failures caused by external circumstances (e.g. traffic conditions, weather, or examiners’ decisions). If there are circumstances beyond our control which have delayed the start time of your lesson, we will offer you the full lesson time or, if that’s not possible, we will offer you a lesson at another time at no extra charge.
8c. Illawarra Precision Driving School reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
8d. Illawarra Precision Driving School is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from failure to deliver or delay in delivery of any services.
9. Privacy
9a. Personal information collected will be used solely for the purposes of providing driving instruction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9b. We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law.
10. Agreement
By enrolling in lessons with Illawarra Precision Driving School, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
